Regulated, deadline-bound, and allergic to downtime.

A 131-year-old institution, rebuilt without breaking a single link.

The Ottawa Dental Society has served the city's dental community since 1895. In 2026 they asked us to replace their ageing WordPress site — every page, both languages, no URL left behind. It went live in August 2026.

The hard part of replacing an old website is everything you cannot see on it.

Thirty years of history means thousands of inbound links, bookmarks, printed URLs and search rankings pointing at exact addresses — including inconsistent ones the old system invented. Break them and the rebuild quietly costs the organization its visibility. So the rule for this project was written down on day one: every address survives, every word of approved content is carried verbatim, and the design the committee signed off is treated as pixel authority. The engineering serves the institution, not the other way around.

01 · What was delivered

Faster, safer, and owned by the client.

A static-first rebuild: no plugins to patch, no database to breach, no admin login to attack — and speed that a page-builder site cannot reach.

The footer of every page on the live site reads "Dental website developed by 4UIT" — the kind of credit we only ask for when we are proud of the work. If your organization is carrying an ageing website with history it cannot afford to lose, this is exactly the kind of project our web design practice exists for.

Your history, carried forward.

Twenty minutes. Bring the site you have; we'll tell you what a rebuild would preserve, what it would fix, and what it costs — in writing.
